I normally post a few pictures of my garden a few times in the summer. This time I decided to do a video tour! This is my second year of Back to Eden style gardening and I'm loving the lower work load. Even with pests being more of problem due to the drought, it's just so much nicer to do things this way.
Sorry about the wind noise. I was just doing this with my iPhone.
I'm thinking about doing a series this summer (pictures on the blog, not video) where I show each harvest and my plans for it. I'm not sure though, that means I'd have to keep up during the times when there's a daily harvest. ;)
Can't wait for summer produce!

In January I wrote this post about getting rid of 100 things a month. Just because it seemed doable, and I've come to learn it's always good to get rid of stuff.
I thought I'd give a quick update on the last few months.
I've already shared my January list. Here's the time between then and now:
February:
1 bag of more than 50 items I trashed from the hall closet and kids rooms. Mostly old school stuff.
4 books sold
1 lunch keeper sold
unopened box of dry erase crayons sold
1 deck of flash cards sold
2 writing tablets given to a friend with younger kids
3 stamp sets sold on Etsy
1 charcoal face mask - trash - burned my skin
4 specialty kids cups sold
herb shaker - trash
1 box of 18 jars from my craft room - recycled
24 kids party favor type items left from various favor bags, etc- given to teachers for their prize boxes.
I didn't even go back and count those, I know it's over 100.
A lot of the kids sold items were sold at a consignment sale I do every spring and fall.
March:
2 pair of slipper socks - donated
sheet set (4 pieces) - donated
18 books - donated
11 shirts - donated
2 plastic bowls - sold at kids consignment sale
1 travel mug - donated
78 articles of kids clothing - sold at consignment sale
That's 116 items not taking up space in my house anymore.
April:(I kind of cheated this month. My dad had given me all of my mom's craft stuff when she died last summer. They were sitting in my garage and I finally felt able to go through them and sort and release some things. So some of this is purging her stuff, but it was taking up my space, so I'm counting it.);)
12 table cloths, napkins, etc - donated
10 teddy bear party supply items - donated
1, 3 piece Halloween decoration - donated
3 cuts of fabric -donated
3 stencils - donated
3 scrapbooks with page protectors - donated
1 bent bucket trashed
1 scrapbook page without pictures donated
1 paintbrush - donated
1 decorative lemon - donated
table cloth - donated
1 bag shredded wood (like for craft stuff) - donated
32 tiny terracotta pots - donated
4 bunches of fake flowers - donated
1 glass vase- donated
3 spools decorative ribbon - donated
78 items total - Not quite 100, but I'm ahead from some other months. As stated in my original post, I am not beating myself up, just making sure I feel accomplished for going through some things.
