For this spread I have combined 3 weeks. It was a pretty tame time as we were just gone a lot doing baseball stuff. I didn't want the whole spread covered with baseball (I'll make full scrap pages of the seasons later) so I put in some basic pictures and mashed the rest together. I also have a neice who graduated during these weeks so I put her announcement in the middle, just punched and inserted. Isn't she beautiful?!
Here's the two page spread with the insert front facing:
And here it is again with the insert flipped:
A lot of this layout uses papers from Webster's Pages. I don't remember what the line was called but it was meant for the new year and goal setting. I loved the paper so I bought it to use on other stuff. I don't normally like bright prints but this was just pretty!
On the left what we have documented is:
-finally getting the garden planted!
-Getting the back yeard "spring ready" to hang out in
-Picking up some mulch from my friend (few things excite me like free wood chips)
-ticket stub, the hubby took me to see Mom's Night Out for Mother's Day (hilarious!)
-the kids pretending to be ducks at a local shopping center
-the batting deck to remind us we had baseball going on
-a "3 weeks in review" card and a quote from my youngest - she has an ongoing story about a bee. By ongoing I mean like, 3 years. We had another update this week. ;) I wish I would have thought of documenting her stories earlier, she cracks me up. But I had no idea she was going to be so funny for so long.
On the right I'm showing:
-baseball game (parents vs. kids team hang out time)
-Memorial Day backyard camping and s'more making on the grill
-My daughter's crazy hair style - she likes to do her hair
-Water play day at my youngest kid's preschool
-a pic of a friend's kid at a family BBQ and parents vs. kids baseball game
-My youngest with a silly face prize at her Pipeline Luau (that's our orientation at church for kids moving into the elementary age sunday school classes)
Sorry for the glare. Again with the lighting issue I talked about in yesterday's post.
I'm off to plan out my middle daughter's birthday and Thanksgiving. They're on the same day. I think I'm finally (after 6 years) getting the hang of how to plan and prep ahead for both a birthday party and holiday at the same time. We'll see how that continues when I repeat the process next month for the other daughter whose birthday is the day after Christmas.;)
