I finally decided what to do with the front of my album! You may remember from this post that I got a plain chipboard album (8x8) and wasn't really worried about getting it all dazzled up. When I was working on the title page I picked up a little pack of chipboard Christmas stickers from Carta Bella and it kind of all just popped into my head. I love it when a plan comes together!
So here's the pic:
I inked all over the album with Stampin' Up! Early Espresso, and then over that with their Very Vanilla Craft Ink. The Crumb Cake scalloped tulle is also SU and is from last year's holiday mini. Again, using my stash. Go me! I'm not sure if I'm going to leave the tulle in a bow or take it down to a knot. I'm not really a big, fluffy bow person.
The doily is one I already had hanging around from another project where I didn't use it. It's the SU doily die that I used with my Sizzix Big Shot and that newpapery looking paper.
The tree, the scalloped music trim, and the "So This is Christmas" label came from the Carta Bella So This Is Christmas chipboard set. I didn't really want to tie a ribbon all the way around my book, nor did I want to leave the little bookplate ribbon holes empty, so I put in some gold chevron washi tape from Michael's and trimed the ends of them.
The 25 is from Tim Holtz and I got it at JoAnns. I love that it looks like metal house numbers or something. I had been holding off on the cover mostly because I couldn't find "just the right numbers" and when I saw these I loved them.
And that's how it came together.
