Still haven't caught up on these posts!
This was a week that included travel. My husband and I left our kids for the first time in 5 years to go to a friend's wedding in Northern California.
On the left side is mostly Mother's Day stuff relating to my son's school and daughter's preschool.
The two pic collage at the top was made using the Diptic app on my phone. It was from the preschool Mother's Day Tea. The pic I took of the "mom portraits" hanging outside her classroom when we arrived was priceless. My son got the game ball at the baseball game mid week and I wrote directly on the picture with a white gel pen.
I took a screen shot of my phone when I passed the 100 mile mark of running (cumulative, not one run :)). The pic of my mddle daughter here is at preschool while they were singing to us. I also put a pic of my son's general silliness while eating out and a piece of his writing from school in a pocket. They were writing about their moms. Other than him saying I had gray hair (which wouldn't bother me if I had any!) it was really sweet. :)
The title card this week had a background cut from a Simple Stories set and some layered scrap ribbon (mostly retired Stampin' Up!). I wrote the dates with Early Espresso Stampin' Write marker from Stampin' Up! and the white rosette is also SU from an artisan collection. I forgot what brand the week and 19 stickers are, but I got them both at JoAnn.
On the right side we have:
Mostly pics from our trip. :)
I love that picture of Liz in her wedding dress all propped up at the bar. :)
The strawberry thing is because I found a REALLY good deal on strawberries, but they were in a 5 pound container. What to do with so many? Try a recipe for chocolate covered strawberries cake!
There's a pic of my hubby and I at the wedding. It was at a historic church in Alturas and we took advantage of the nice backdrop for a rare couple photo. I really need to get more pics of us. The pic of the sign is because we got to sneak away to set up the "honeymoon suite" for the couple's first night.
The week in reveiw is on the same Simple Stories paper as the title card and the button there is from the same Stampin Up artisan set as the acrylic flower. The pic from the road is just an actual photo of a mental picture I always have of an area we drove through during the wedding weekend.
That's it for this week!
