This wasn't one of my better weeks of keeping items written down and pictures taken, but I had a lot of current events and such to fill in with. I don't think we had all that much going on this week anyway.
The two page spread.
Let's get a better look, shall we?
Since the back of week 15's page protector has this format I had to go with it. It worked out well. On the left I have an internet news article about the Boston Marathon bombings. Printing a quick synopsis off the internet was a quick way to commemorate the event.
The "Capture the Moment" card in the middle was from a stack from We R Memory Keepers.
On the bottom is a picture of my planning forms to note that I started planning out our summer. Each summer I let the kids each pick 2 topics, and I pick a few, and I plan a week long theme around each topic. The planner forms help me round things out well and keep things from getting too busy or too boring. :) So far we have cooking lessons, science, art, and money on the list.
The title card went up on the top right of this page. Those chalky craft letter stickers don't show up as well I thought they would when I bought them. They are from Creative Imagingations I think. The number stickers look like little grid papre numbers and I believe they are Basic Grey. The black cardstock and dictionary paper are from Stampin' Up! and the green corner rub on is and old one from a My Mind's Eye collection. The "absolutely fabulous" I think is also from MME.
For the news article I used some old Stampin' Up! papers and ribbon scraps (also from SU) and a strip of washi tape from Pretty Tapes on Etsy. The stickers at the top are from Studio Calico and MME.
The right side has baseball game pics, the Week in Review, a pic of my husband and kids being silly together, and a quote that Ali Edwards had on her blog that I LOVED. I need to be reminded to take action.
The Week in Review card is from We R Memory keepers, another from a stack. I only bought two of those stacks but they are stretching really far!
In the middle pic I just put a strip of Post-it tape and wrote right on it.
The background of the action quote is Stampin' Up! and the quote I just printed right off the computer from Alie Edwards site.
That little yellow bracket portion is from a different project. You know when you buy patterned paper at the scrapbook store they sometimes have these little border edges that have the company and line names printed on them? That's what this yellow bracket is from. It's the edge that was torn off of a scrapbook page I did a few days ago.
Speaking of which, I've been trying to scrap a page a week and I've been doing a decent job! What have I not been doing a decent job at? Thinking about sharing those scrapbook pages with you! Seriously?!
Any who...
I mentioned in yesterday's post that I'm writing a cookbook. All about vegetables. Common vegetables, nothing fancy, but great flavor. That's right. I've already sketched out my timeline and started testing. This morning's test recipe for carrot zucchini muffins rocked! I'm so stoked!
