This was the week of St. Patrick's Day.
I used a lot of midnight muse from Stampin' Up!, the Comfort Cafe designer paper, and coordinating colors. I also used some paper from my stash (that one that looks like wood grain).
On the left side I have the title card, a pic of my preschool daughter and husband at Daddy and Me day, a screen shot of my iPhone, a pic of my husband's elbow pad he's using while driving after a visit to Kaiser this week, a free space with just pretty layers of paper, a shot of butterfly shaped pizzas for girls night with my two daughters, a pic of my son's field trip, and a shot of the kitchen sink backing up. :)
For the title card I have a midnight muse background, comfort cafe designer paper torn and layered on with some soft suede tafetta ribbon and crochet trim on top of that. I also punched and textured a flower from crumb cake cardstock, layered another flower die cut from the printed paper, and put a dhalia on that. All that was from Stampin' Up! I wrote the dates out in words with a gel pen.
I've tried several white pens and been very disappointed in a lot of them. As far as gel pen goes, this one is new to me but I love it so far. It works on cardstock and photos. It's just a Gelly Roll pen.
The letter stickers for "week" on the title card are from EK Success and the number stickers are from Deja Views. I love these Deja Views letter and numbers. They're like a tight weave burlap type fabric and thick. I will probably pick up several packages next time they're on sale. :)
I took a screen shot of my iPhone to show my sales are small but consistent in my new Teachers Pay Teachers shop. When someone buys something, I hear a "cha-ching" and the number of items pops up. I get so excited everytime I hear that sound!
To the right of the phone screen shot is my husband's elbow thing. He has some kind of new bone issue and his doctor gave him this to wear. He hates wearing it but uses it to rest his elbow on while he drives. :) I cropped the pic and layered it onto a scrap of comfort cafe paper an put doilies in the corner.
For the Daddy and Me day I put the picture on a black mat and attached it to some weathered wood paper. I don't remember which company makes this one, but there is quite a selection of these out there right now. :)
I layered scraps together for a blank pocket. The butterfly pizzas are from a girl's night. My daughters and I made shaped pizzas and watched a movie while my son and hubby were at NASCAR.
On par with our "something broken every week in 2013" theme, the sink and laundry line backed up this week. I took a picture, but it was kind of bright compared to the rest of the layout, so I covered it with vellum cardstock and journaled right on top.
On the right side of the layout I have pics of my husband's hair shennanigans, pics from NASCAR, a soccer game we went to, my middle daughter tying her shoes for the first time, and a St. Patty thing.
I layered Rae's pic onto some crumb cake cardstock, and that onto some more Comfort Cafe paper. Then I tied some sweater trim onto the top of the page protector to look like a shoelace. All of that was Stampin' Up!
My husband (who is bald) cut my son's hair. He then put the hair on his own head. He's a clown that way. The kids were cracking up though. I had to take a picture. I wrote right on the picture with a gold Stampin' Up! pen. For the "If I Could..." card, I just filled in a Smash mini pad thingy.
For the soccer game we go to go to for free, I cut out a pic from the front of the program and put it on a little paper sack, then tucked our tickets inside it. I just jotted a quick note along the bottom of the bag to remember the circumstances.
I used more scraps from the comfort cafe collection and coordinating colors to fill in a pocket in the middle, and I put in a shamrock Rae brought home from preschool to comemmorate St. Patrick's Day. We don't really do a lot for that day, so that's all I have along the lines of that holiday.
Along the bottom I put two pics from NASCAR together on one long strip. Josiah got free tickets to the qualifier for reading a ton in a special program. He and dad went while the girls and I had a girls night in (with the butterfly pizzas). After I mounted the pictures from the race and journaled in between them, I cut it in half and put them in the two bottom pockets side by side.
That's it for week 12!
