As you might recall from last year's album, I like to have the main work done before December. I know it makes it more likely that I will keep up with the album. And just so you know, I don't try to keep up finished pages each day. I try to do about a week at a time. I've made it a tradition to scrap on New Year's Day, all day, all alone, ahhhhhhhhhh. This year I might be spending a lot of that day on the December Daily album.
Last year's album was almost done except for pictures before December started. This year I decided I wanted more freedom as the days unfolded, so I made some very basic background pages and am waiting for inspiration to strike. As each day has occured I've made some notes in my calendar for that day so I can refer back to them.

You can click on the picture to make it bigger. The brown and white Deck the Halls page has an envelope on it. I made an envelope page in last year's and decided to put at least one more in this year's because I really liked the extra space it gave me for more busy days.
Another change from last year is that I didn't put the numbers on the pages ahead of time. I decided to wait and see which days I wanted one page layouts for and which days I wanted two. This should allow me more flexibility.
I also just cut several pages that are blank backgrounds for now. Just until I decide what kind of layout I want to make out of them as I live each day.

I am still doing a 6x6 like last year. I am also using coordinating products again. Last year I used a Simply Scrappin kit. This year I am using Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper and Letters to Santa Quick Accents. I am also using coordinating solid cardstock. As for embellishments, I am just going to pull out what I already have that coordinates once I get started putting my pages together and work with that stash. This was really a cost saving measure for me as I'll be able to make the whole album for about $20 plus what I have on hand.
I haven't decided on a cover yet. I like the window sheet cover I did last year, but I'm also tempted to dress up this album from the current Holiday Mini Catalog.

Anyway, that's where my plan stands right now. I've got some photos taken and some ephmera (reciepts, etc...) ready, but haven't made any pages yet. Hopefully soon. :)
