Making cute wrappers for gift cards is easy and a great way to use leftover pieces or scraps. Here's one example of an easy way to package them:
I used the Cute Christmas stamp set and Holly Jolly paper for this. I love using our Stampin' Up! Designer Series Papers because it's easy to figure out what colors to use. :) I need all the help I can get with deciding on colors so taking a que from paper is a perfect plan for me.
Here's a peek at the inside:
Stamps: A Cute Christmas (Wood: 120825, Clear:121133)
Inks: Basic Black ink pad (101179), Cherry Cobbler Marker (119681), Old Olive Marker (100079)
Paper: Holly Jolly DSP (117159), Old Olive (100702), Cherry Cobbler (119685), Very Vanilla (101650)
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding (120992)
1-Cut your background piece to 8"x3" (old olive in this case) and fold in half.
2- Layer on the front a 3 3/4" x 2 3/4" piece of DSP (Holly Jolly here) and then a 3 1/2"x2 1/2" layer of an accent color (cherry cobbler here).
3- Put your stamped image on the front 2"x3" (the stockings in this sample).
4- On the inside, place a 1"x3" strip of DSP over the right end of the inside, putting adhesive only on the sides and right edge to make a pocket for your card. Close and tie a ribbon on around it.
....And you're done!
Remember that these are easy to do with leftover pieces of stuff. I had chunks of Holly Jolly left from another project and went through my scraps to see what I had in matching colors. That's how I chose the rest of the items.
