Ok, so I don't know what these are really called, but I'm calling them Baker's Bands. I'm not even sure where I got the idea. I may have dreamed it up one night, or something. I have no recollection. It's just there, in my brain, a scary place.
These are meant to just add a touch of giftiness to a homemade treat. You can wrap them around a glassine bag, a small loaf of bread, or around a cookie or brownie that is individually wrapped. I was going to show you the glassine bag, because I picture that as a classy look in my head, but I couldn't find them anywhere! So you'll have to picture it with a paper sack that is cut off. Even this would be better if I owned a pair of pinking shears. :)
The tag says "A Little Yummy for Your Tummy" and is set from the last Sale-A-Bration. But you could really do this with any stamp. It's just a piece of double sided designer series paper, and an image mounted over it with a dimensional. Imagine your Christmas or Fall goodies baked and an easy touch of seasonal paper with a stamp cut out and attached just to class it up a bit.
Here are a few more shots, so you can get an idea with individually wrapped treats:
Here's what it looks like before you wrap it around something:
I made these green ones for my friend, Lily. She's always baking something for people, and she loves green, and it was her birthday last week. I made her matching Baker's Bags to use, but my pictures of those didn't come out well. Maybe I'll make some more and show them off later. For now, I have several sets of these in my Etsy shop for sale. I have a few different color/pattern choices for baking now, or in the fall or winter.
And now a hint of things to come...
(do you hear the ominous, dom, dom, dom!?)
I am taking my Stampin' Up! hobby into part time business this year! Why, you ask? TOO MANY REASONS TO NAME! I'll list the main ones for you though:
-I need to take more time to do the things I love. That's a quote from my counselor for post partum depression. Treating my hobby like a business will force me to spend more time doing it, will give me a sense of accomplishment, and will take me out of my own world and make me reach out to friends and others.
-To make money, of course! My husband and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary NEXT September (2010). He has always wanted a bug (the car, not the insect). I would love to give him one for our 10th anniversary! How cool would that be to be able to buy him something he's always wanted with my hobby/business, so it's truly a gift from me and my work, not just something I allow him to spend the money he makes on? And the anniversary is a great time goal for that because, hey, he's put up with me for almost 10 years now! And he's done a pretty good job of making me believe he's enjoyed it!
So what can you expect from me in the coming year? More posts for one! I'll be putting up more projects and I'll soon be offering kits to order on my blog. In fact, I hope to start offering the first one next week.
In addition to that, I'll be doing home parties, classes at my home, stamp camps, etc... I also do fundraisers if you need one. So, if you want to earn free hostess benefits (aka, catalog shopping spree) while hanging out with your girlfriends, book a party with me! If you want to do what I do and get a discount on your hobby or make money with your hobby, e-mail me! If you want me to put together a stamp camp style fundraiser for your group, e-mail me! Visit my Stampin' Up! website for more ideas too! I am available for all sorts of venues! And be on the look out for my kits coming soon!

Terrific goal! I love your cute little 'band' and I applaud your business goal! It's so attainable!! Go girl!
